When the new rock superstar wasn't putting himself in compromising positions, he could be found spreading Kaiju cheer and fielding fan questions at a packed Kaiju press conference. Kaiju CHIKARA Crossover!

The interwebs have been abuzz with rumors about an appearance by Kaiju Big Battel monsters at an upcoming event of the American independent wrestling troupe superfantastisch, CHIKARA. Whispers and innuendo have persisted for months of a possible Marvel/DC-esque crossover event. However representatives from both camps have long insisted that not only is "Marvel/DC-esque" not a word, but such a team up was unlikely with so much on their respective plates.

That all changed this past week however, when an irate Dr. Cube attempted to murder perennial funnyman Bob Saget in his Los Angeles home. Apparently incensed by his "blue" stand-up stylings at a recent performance in Boston, Cube dispatched a mob of Minions to stick bananas in the tailpipes of Mr. Saget's cars. Inevitably, the Machiavellian madman's plan backfired, and the comedian-turned-actor-turned-comedian-turned-gameshow host was left unscathed. Saget however, who also happens to be the CHIKARA commissioner, was not amused and demanded explanations and reparations from both Cube and the Kaiju Regulatory Commission.

Attempting to quell the growing distrust between the two groups, the Kaiju Commissioner offered a full apology to Mr. Saget, and to CHIKARA fans everywhere. Furthermore, in order to help mend the wounds of any hurt feelings, the Commissioner demanded that Dr. Cube participate in the upcoming CHIKARA anniversary show. When Cube posted on his online web log that there was "no way in the unholy pits of hell (which I have managed to recreate in lab conditions)" he was going to participate "in some ridiculous, fake wrestling show", the Commissioner insisted that not only would Cube participate, but that he would be teaming up with perennial loser Call-Me-Kevin against surprise tag team opponents. He also ordered that all participating monsters be shrunk to human size for the duration of the show, and that any person or monster refusing to participate would be forced to appear at Q&A and picture sessions at ALL Anime-Cons over the course of the next year, and that he was totally freaking serious about it.

Having little choice left in the matter, and fed up with otaku-nerds following him around convention center showrooms, Cube has apparently acquiesced to the Commissioner's demands, but warned that he will be "keeping ALL the money from t-shirt sales!" Stay tuned to kaiju.com and chikarapro.com for more information on who the Commissioner will choose to face off against the makeshift mash-up of diabolical do-badders.

Boulder Captures Giii

Kaiju's newest jive talking Hero, and star of this week's featured video, Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder this week answered the KRC's call for Giii the Space Pirate's arrest, single handedly capturing the mercenary Rogue. In a cunning plan, SPTB lured Giii into the gigantic hull of a tanker ship bound from the US to Western Africa this week, before using a steam-powered welding kit to seal up all the bulk heads, portals, and other means of escape. SPTB then extended one of his tentacles down through an air shaft and released a neuro-toxin grenade that left the three-eyed space buccaneer paralyzed.

Upon handing Giii over to the Kaiju Commissioner, Boulder will be awarded $25,000 and a week's paid vacation in St. John. As a direct result of his Heroic achievement, Boulder has also signed a million dollar endorsement deal with the Pet Rock Association of America. Expect to see pet Boulders this summer sided by side with black Spiderman 3 toys, Jack Sparrow toothpaste, and Die Hard 4-brand adult diapers.

Kaiju Coming to San Diego Comic-Con

Kaiju Big Battel will be visiting San Diego this summer from July 26-29. While we're in town we'll be attending a young, upstart comic book convetion called San Diego International Comic-Con. It's unclear how many people will show up for this under-the-radar con, but rest assured Kaiju will have a booth.
