Return of the Danger Cage

The dusto has barely settled from New York Blackout, but the Kaiju Commissioner has already been forced to announce the next live Kaiju Big Battel. Following the Blackout Battel, the various Kaiju crews were infested with more infighting than a New Edition reunion tour: the Heroes are quarrelling amongst themselves; the Sea Amigos alliance is looking washed up; Team Space Bug is without a leader; and Dr. Cube and his Posse of mutant miscreants are ready to take advantage.

The potential for Danger is so great that the Commissioner was left with no choice but to declare a new Battel, and reintroduce the infamous Kaiju Danger Cage for extra monster-containment. The caged combat is set to go down at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island on Saturday, March 29th. This all ages event is Kaiju's only scheduled New England area performance this spring. Buy your tickets in advance to ensure your place at this epic night of live monster mayhem.

More Big Plans Brewing

In addition to the return of the Danger Cage, word has surfaced that the Commissioner has another very important announcement to make next week. Will the enigmatic monster moderator reveal future plans for his wildly popular Black Box brainchild? Perhaps he will respond to Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder's pleas to challenge for the Kaiju Championship Belt? Or maybe new Hero Sun Buster has not yet rectified the glitch with his Hero application and he will face a fine and possible suspension? Whatever the surprise may be, you won't have to wait long to discover it. Sources in the Kaiju Headquarters report that the Commissioner may spill his brain beans as soon as next Wednesday.

Three's Company

The Sea Amigos, Unibouzu, D.W. Cycloptopuss III, and current Kaiju Champion Call-Me-Kevin, will be in good company this weekend when they, along with 27 other teams of three, duke it out to determine the Chikara Pro King of Trios. If the undersea aquanauts can cooperate, they are sure to pulverize their first round competition. UltraMantis Black, Hydra, and Crossbones, better known as the Order of The Neo Solar Temple, are three of the fightingest fellows around from this, or any other world. Even still, they have never faced a faction as ferocious as their oceanic opposition. Once the underwater unit drowns their anterior adversaries, they can move on to true challengers like Mecha Mummy or the dreaded Bobby Dempsey.

B.U.G. M.I.A.

After suffering a humiliating defeat at New York Blackout, Uchu Chu has not been seen by any other members of Team Space Bug. An inebriated Yarsminko insists that once Uchu Chu left ringside, he made a beeline to an emergency exit and "disappeared into the night." Even Mung Wun has been unable to get in touch with her missing mate. Mota Naru is leading the Swarm in a search for their lost leader, but so far the only evidence of Uchu Chu's whereabouts has been a New York Police Department report which states that 28 cars on East 11th Street had their side-mirrors smashed by what an eye-witness has described as a "slender, neon figure."

The Kaiju Web Sweatshop would like to welcome it's newest team member, Molly Rita. Molly was born on Thursday, February 21st and after a quick shower and cup of joe, immediately went to work on this week's news update.

Wise Eyes on the Prize

Kaiju's resident sage, Dusto Bunny, won an opportunity to challenge Call-Me-Kevin for the Kaiju Championship Belt by defeating four other opponents during the RoBox Robolimination Rumble at NY Blackout. Even though his victory was later tarnished by an unprovoked attack by human fighter, Chris Hero, the grimey guru is keeping a positive outlook. Confucius suggested that "before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves." Dusto Bunny has promised to follow this advice, aware that he has a rare opportunity to become the Kaiju Champion. The Heroic hare insists that he will soon be wearing the Championship Belt around his muddied midsection which will be more than enough consolation for the physical damage done by Chris Hero.

Chicken Out

Despite a surprise appearance in front of the sold-out crowd at NY Blackout, Kung-Fu Chicken Noodle has no plans to return to the Big Ring, or Danger Cage, any time soon. When Baby Sky Deviler was discovered in a Black Box during the main event between The Grudyin and Call-Me-Kevin, Soup rushed to ringside to retrieve his protege. The infant insectoid had been passed off to Dr. Cube who was thusly made the recipient of a Five Fingered Chowder Fist. Soup is confident that Baby Sky Deviler is already disciplined enough to defend himself if necessary, the killer can will not allow Baby Sky Deviler into Battel until his training is complete.

In related Sky Deviler news, kaiju.com's exclusive "Kyoho" variant of Marmit's Sky Deliver toy is almost sold out. After these are gone, the Kaiju Commissioner reports that no more Sky Deviler figures will be put into production.
