Kaiju Stars in New Bloc Party Video

In an unprecedented team-up of rock stardom and Kaiju power, UK band Bloc Party features Kaiju Big Battel in the video for their new single, Flux. Directed by Ace Norton, the video for Flux was made over the course of two days in Boston with Kaiju favorites Unibouzu, Vegetius, The Grudyin, Giii the Space Pirate, and Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder. You can check out the video exclusively at NME.com.

Flux is not Kaiju Big Battel's first brush with the music video industry. In 2004, the Big Battel invaded MTV's studio's for a one-hour special. It is widely assumed that during this invasion, Dr. Cube destroyed the channel's remaining stock of music videos, leading to today's lineup of recycled reality shows, dating games, and an endless parade of screaming teenagers.

Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder: Bring on The Toast!

Kaiju's newest heavyweight Hero, Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder, will defend his honer and reputation on November 9th against veteran Euro-Kaiju French Toast (36-7, 28 KOs, European Division) at the Warsaw in Brooklyn, NY. The bout will be the third time Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder has been scheduled to fight against the syrup-drenched powerhouse. The first two fightos were canceled due to Toast, in typical French fashion, not arriving to the venue on time. The Kaiju Commissioner has declared that the Breakfast Beast had better be on time at the Warsaw, or he will risk Big Battel banishment.

Boulder-Toast Battel Heats Up

The just announced matchup between rock-hard Hero Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder and French Toast, is already heating up. Boulder launched a verbal salvo towards his culinary opponent and all Kaiju bad-guys:

"I think - no - I know I am ready for You Dr. Cube. But first I'm gonna take care of that sniveling Frenchy man. He may have beaten legendary European fighters but I think it's time he faced a true champion. I could fight anyone at the Warsaw. Every fight is a dream fight - but I'll start with the Toast because I hate him the most. After that, I want the Kaiju Championship Belt too - whether it's Unibouzu or some other clown with the belt around their waist. hichever one we get a contract signed, I will fight. Of course, Frenchy always pulls outta the fight. All that rainbow munch does is call everybody out. All he does is talk, he's gonna grow old talkin'. Fool."

French Toast has remained mum, however his own prime minister, Francois Fillon, has suggested that Toast can't afford to bail out of another Battel. Public opinion polls show that Toast has a 97% disapproval rate from the French public, due in large part to his reputation as a fighto-avoiding surrender-monkey. "This is a big blow to the ego of this once great Hero of our people. If he no show again he will be shunned by all in our great republic." stated Gillon in an address last week.

One Eyed Monsters to Defend Title

The final fight on the Warsaw Battel card has been announced. Newly created, odd-couple tag team, The One-Eyed Monsters will defend their tag title against an opposing pair of the Commissioner's choosing. The Commish has invited any two members from any faction to apply. At press time, the following teams have applied: Uchu Chu and Yarsminko, Force Trooper Robo and Atomic Trooper Robo, Grudyin and SDS-1, American Beetle and Neo Teppen, Giii and Sekmet, and Call-Me-Kevin and Unibouzu.

Most Kaiju speculators believe either the Uchu Chu/Yarsminko team, or the Force Trooper Robo/Atomic Trooper Robo pair are likely to get the nod. They also say the Giii/Sekmet application will most likely be dismissed due to the fact that Giii is already scheduled to fight Dusto Bunny that same evening. The Grudyin/SDS1 request is the most shocking as it would pit the The Grudyin against former team member, and new One-Eyed Monster, Hell Monkey.

Dusto Bunny Hospitalized

Kaiju Hero Dusto Bunny was hospitalized Friday for treatment of an undisclosed illness. "He's just overworked. He's been in Atlantic City performing, in the D.C. area doing charity work, and in Tunica, Miss. a couple of nights ago for some hoedown, shindig, or maybe it was a hootenany. Either way, he is just plain overworked," the Commissioner told The Commerce Apple newspaper. When asked if this incident would impact Dusto's upcoming bout with Giii the Space Pirate at the Warsaw he added, "Dusto is doing much better, but we will have to wait and see. In the meantime, please send him your best wishes, prayers, and non-rabbit foot good luck charms."
