Uchu Kidnaps Slug

In yet another sad example of Bug on Bug violence, Uchu Chu the Space Bug kidnapped Dr. Cube's remote controlled Super Dimensional Slug (SDS-1) in a brazen bunker invasion this weekend. While Cube's Minions dozed on early Sunday morning, a legion of Swarm kicked in the front door of Cube's Havana hideout, hogtied all the Posse members, and snatched the Slug away from his chronaton pen.

Kaiju Analysts speculate that Uchu Chu is looking to manipulate the time space continuum in an effort to alter the results of the recent Shpadoinkel Mania XVIII. It is believed that Uchu is suffering sever post-partum depression following Dr. Cube's theft of the baby Sky Deviler at the Battel, and is prepared to gamble with the highly volatile time space continuum to get him back. Unforeseen consequences are almost certain.

In a tersely worded statement written on frilly pink paper with a glitter pen, the Yokusuka Jump Squadron put the Kaiju community on notice. "Contrary to current popular belief, the YJS does not, in fact, suck. We declare 2007 to be the year of the Jump! Get on board the Jump train now! Jump in!"

It's hard to argue with such rhetorical brilliance, and the Jump Squadron have the muscle to back up their bluster. With two veteran members (Super Wrong and Pink Teddy Bear, and a new rookie in Dusto Bunny (who's progress as a Squadronette is coming along briskly since his involuntary defection from the Kaiju Heroes at Shpadoinkel Mania XVIII), the YJS is poised to be the biggest sensation in Kaiju since the advent of the automated audience.

Dear Mr. Fan

I can not say for certain when Dino Kang will get back in the Danger Cage. However, I have an inkling that the upcoming Kaiju Big Battel: The Pilot Battel might be Kang's opportunity to get back into the Kaiju action. Dino Kang Jr. loves the spotlight, so I am willing to bet that he will make an appearance at the Battel in an attempt to get some air time on TV.

It's safe to say that many Kaiju fighters will be reemerging to get some face time with America as we film the event live as a TV pilot for G4 TV. And if you want to get on TV, be sure to get their early and secure a prime set upfront in the Danger Zone.

Cube Wants Villain of the Year

Just in time for Cube Appreciation Month (February, and also August in years divisible by 3), the Posse propaganda machine is busy campaigning for Dr. Cube to win The Villain of the Year Award. Also up for consideration this year are Megatron, Walter Jack Palance, Iron Man, and Gargamel. Cube has been up for the Villain of the Year Award for the past 10 years, but has never managed to get the win. He was narrowly defeated by El Nino in '96 and Drugs in 2000, but Cube's since stepped up his villainy by stealing street signs and kicking old women in the head, face, and neck, among other lofty schemes for world domination.

Video Buffet Winner Declared

Based on over 1.1 million Kaiju fan votes, the Kaiju YouTube video of the year has been choosen and the winner is.... the Chicken Noodle Soup Dance! Kevin Tides from Davis, CA has been randomly selected from among all the voters, to win a very rare out-of-print copy of Video Buffet on VHS. The Kaiju Commissioner would like to thank all those who participated in the YouTube Video of 2006 contest. Who knows what Kaiju madness will appear on the 'Tube this year?!
